My tennis journey began with playing recreational tennis in Denver, Colorado at the age of 8. I started playing competitively a year later, when my family and I moved back to Calgary, Alberta. I was a late bloomer compared to my friends on the team, however that was my motivation to work extra hard to get to the same level they were at. I have developed a very strong work ethic that has enabled me to grow as a tennis player and develop my passion for the game. I love playing tennis every day. I love the competitive nature, the ethics in the sport and having opportunities to continuously improve my tennis game.
My aspirations for tennis are to play at the highest level possible. I want to train and compete at a division 1 school, preferably with warm weather. I also want to pursue my academic / career goal of entering medical school to become a doctor. The combination of my strong work ethic and great organization skills help me balance the rigors of high level tennis and academics. I am currently enrolled in a full French immersion school program and also take Spanish. I am honest, reliable and a good team player that will work very hard on and off the court.
