My collegiate goals is to play division one tennis. To be part of a team that can be united and grow from each others strengths. In addition be lead by coaches and coming together as players to help each other with individual weaknesses become individual strengths to lead our team to NCAA tournaments. I understand the commitment, the time, the perseverance involved in playing division 1 from not only the 3 year fight I was determined to win due to an injury but my family history of the sport. My grandfather Donald Isaak started this love for the game for South Dakota State playing 1 singles and doubles,. My mom played shortly for University of Iowa then pursued difficult major. Lastly my uncle, Donny Isaak, who won the team NCAA Championship at USC (playing 3 singles 2 doubles) and getting to the semi-finals in singles.
My fight, my determination is unique from any other player. I will not let any set backs stop me but instead motivate me to keep trying and in the end becoming stronger physically and mentally. I had an injury that I worked diligently for 3 years not months when most players want to stop. I had to put sweat and tears into PT every single day to get back on the court. In Spring/Summer 2022 it is confirmed my injury is healed from the most advanced treatment stem cell therapy. I am pain free and physically stronger. In time I am confident I will surpass my highest UTR of 7.41 in singles 2019 and doubles was higher in 2019.
What makes me unique is how I have proven how well I rise from a fall. Character is defined how you carry yourself when no-one is watching and how you overcome obstacles. I am finally looking forward to getting more matches and now begin the journey in what I fought for so long... to be back on the court!
I enjoy any science related subjects and academically that is my strength. . I am confident the challenges I have had to overcome will give me the focus and determination to be successful academically as well as athletically.
Looking forward to finding the University I can help my teammates excel on and off the court. I am confident I will find a coach that will believe in my come back and help me continue to reach my potential along with teammates that are committed to the same goals.
