Personal Statement

While growing up playing many sports such as softball, soccer, and ballet, tennis became my favorite sport.  Throughout the many years that I have been playing tennis, I am proud of the person this sport has shaped me into.

I believe that the team should always be put first before individual needs and I understand the value of working hard to benefit my teammates.  One of my best experiences on a team was at National Spring Team Championships in Mobile, Alabama where I became extremely close to my teammates and fought hard all weekend to eventually end up winning the title.  I learned the important aspects of working together and lifting each other up during challenging matches.  Another amazing experience I had playing on a team was at USTA Zonals where I earned a chance to represent my section to compete against the best players across the country.  Playing on my high school team and reaching the finals of the state championships together was also a memory I will never forget.  I enjoy fighting for a team because it gives me extra motivation to battle my hardest until the end.  My coaches have always expressed my highly coachable abilities and my value for receiving constructive criticism to improve my skills.  I am always eager to learn and advance my game to the next level little by little each practice and grow into the best version of myself.  I strive to learn from the failures as they provide the best learning experiences.  My goal is to reach the highest competition level I can while contributing to the team as much as possible.

I am looking for a highly academic university with a competitive environment but a very supportive team and coaching staff.  I am open to many different schools and what they have to offer, as I am looking for the best fit for me.  I am continuing to figure out what I would like to major in, but I am currently very interested in pursuing business.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
