My goals for collegiate tennis are to play for a school that has the academic opportunities I am looking for, and a team culture where players and coaches are all working help each other improve. In terms of academics I’m looking for a school with a challenging and diverse curriculum to gain a wide base of education. I am interested in division one, two, and three schools that would help me work to reach my full potential in tennis, school, and life.
I would make a good addition to a college team because of my work ethic and discipline. I have been told by other players, coaches, and parents that I push others to be more intense on and off court. I enjoy training with others and competing with peers. Right now I am working on playing more relaxed and learning how to fight to win my more challenging matches. I am in the process of teaching myself to get comfortable using all of the athleticism that I have built over the past few years while competing. This last year I have seen the most improvement in my game than ever before. I have gained the most ground on tactical skills, mental composure, and footwork. I’m excited to see where my game goes in the future as I continue to grow and learn.
I feel fortunate to have grown up around so much great information on tennis and resources to use. I am grateful for my family, coaches, and friends for supporting me in my journey with tennis and I hope to show them by working my hardest and achieving my goals.
