Season of 23-24 (current) - Playing Varsity #1 singles
Season of 22-23 (prev) - Played Varsity #6/7 Doubles
My tennis career started in my sophomore year, but as my abilities improved, I quickly developed a passion for the game. To learn as much as I can about tennis and new strategies, I spend my free time watching instructional videos and professional matches. My high school won the 2022 High Desert League Tennis Championship thanks to my participation in the sport, and my doubles partner and I went undefeated the entire season. I decided during the off-season that honing my court skills would be advantageous, so I asked my mother to hire a qualified coach.
Currently, I train for eight hours per week, in addition to occasionally practicing plays with friends and family. I recently went to watch the University of Southern California women's tennis team play, and I knew then that I wanted to play college tennis. The teams' commitment to winning, as well as how hard each player worked to achieve it, impressed me.
I want to major in architecture and maybe minor in human resource management. The inspiration behind my choice to study architecture is my passion for the arts. I enjoy painting, drawing, and using DuoLingo to learn Korean when I'm not on the court.
