Everbody wants to be somebody when they grow up. Unfortunately only about half of them put in the time and the effort to pursue their dream. Lucky for you I am a part of that half. As a female African-American athlete sports have been a very big part of my life since a very young age. The first time I held a tennis racket I knew that it was my calling and what I wanted to do in life. With the help of my friends and family, I have worked hard and diligently to be where I am today. Those are just a few of the things that I could contribute to the team. Helping out with nonprofit organizations and giving back to the community are things that come natural to me. This shows on the court with my sportsmanship. This year I was awarded the sportsmanship award on my varsity tennis team. With my high percentage of winning , our team made it to CIF. In baseline league (individuals) I made it to the quarterfinals and lost to the #1, eventual winner. I have been told over the years that I always have this positive attitude that helps people get through the day. My mind set is to working hard and having a positive mind set . That is one of the reasons I want to major in Sports Management. I want to help someone reach their goal and push past the obstacles. As I continue my journey, I look forward to hearing from you.
