Hi Coaches!
My name is Emily Thinnsen and I have been playing tennis for about 9 years. I am a team player and treat my team members like family. I am always looking for new ways to improve my game by following my coaches advice. I also acknowledge that tennis is a total mental game as much as it is physical; therefore, I always make sure to have a positive mindset when playing. I take school seriously and will make sure my grades are always up to par to keep playing on the team. I have a double handed forehand and backhand and I play singles and doubles.
I was a competitive tournament player from 2015-2018 and my UTR was 8 in 2017 (link: https://app.myutr.com/profiles/190735?t=1). In high school, I not only played for the varsity tennis team as singles line 1 or 2; I also divided my time with music. I am currently in Honors choir, Creative Worship, Vocal Jazz, Bel Canto, and Musical Theater.
