My name is Alyssa Seegert. I have been playing tennis since I was 8 years old, and have been competing at a varsity level since my freshman year. What I love about tennis is that whenever I make a mistake on that court, it's on me and then I can improve on that for future matches. While I do love playing tennis, I also play soccer and softball for my high school as well. I made varsity for soccer my sophomore year, which was very exciting for me. Even though I am a very competitive athlete, I take school very seriously as well. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA with honors classes, and am now taking AP classes my junior year. It's for this reason that I hope my GPA will go up even higher. School is very important to me so I also participate in ASB (Associated Student Body) and clubs at my school. ASB is the group that plans dances, rallies, events, etc. at our school, and it makes me happy that I am making my school a better place for kids to come too. School and sports are very high on my priority list, but in my free time, I love to read. I have been keeping track of all the books that I have read this year, and I am up to 56.
