My goal as a student, athlete, daughter, and sister is to play college tennis while maintaining my academic integrity, refusing to give up, and always keeping a smile on my face. I think a huge part of being on a team involves truly supporting my teammates, being enthusiastic and persevering!
I have been playing tennis since I was four years old and have the biggest love for the game. Coming from a family of tennis players, the racquet has been passed down to me, and I have gained the utmost respect for the game and see it as a life sport.
As the number one player over the past three years, I have learned that if I keep my mind in the game and believe in myself, I have the ability to conquer “the impossible.” Because I have to work extremely hard to achieve good grades in school, my tenacity and ability to overcome obstacles shows up in the way I play tennis and move around the court.
My forehand and backhand are what I would call my “weapons.” I hit a hard deep ball that is difficult to return, and I can power through most players. My top-spin also allows me to handle many different paces.
As a college tennis player, I would commit to work my hardest and support my teammates to do the same, striving to both teach and learn from my peers. My promise makes me a great candidate because I will contribute my work-ethic, charisma and skill.
Having the privilege of playing college tennis would give me the experience of a lifetime that I would never take for granted. I am so excited to be embarking on my journey through the tennis recruitment process!
