I have been playing tennis since I was 8 years old. Since that age, I have also been very passionate about giving back to my community and encouraging others. Tennis has given me the opportunity to develop and become a better version of myself as well as others I have mentored and will continue to mentor. Participating in the Bryan Brothers Doubles Race G12 & G14 and being a year-end champion along with my doubles partners has been a great accomplishment, and competing in team events such as Junior Team Tennis, CTC, and Zonals have all allowed me to highlight my collaboration and communication skills on and off the court. Being a finalist in the 2019 G14 Final 8 Junior Masters Championships was another great experience that taught me resilience and determination.
I am inspired by and decided to play tennis because of my father, who wanted our family to have a sport that will last a lifetime. My passion for the sport and helping others has blended together well when I volunteer for wheelchair tennis and being a ball girl for BNP Paribas Masters 1000. Some of the most growth I have experienced through tennis has been helping out and being a part of the Special Olympics Committee because it has allowed me to inspire and be a role model to the youth. This experience has helped improve my game because it gives me a greater perspective to be more hard working and help others past being a great tennis player.
Academically, I hope to continue to be ranked in the top 5 students for my high school each year, and graduate with a 4.5 weighted GPA so that I can be admitted to a top ranked college where I plan to graduate Magna Cum Laude. In addition, I have also completed the NCSA Athleadership Academy Curriculum in which I plan to use my leadership experiences to drive others to achieve their visions. Outside of tennis I love to cook healthy and nutritious food. I am also passionate about drawing to express my creative side while also creating flyers for social justice causes.
