I am a class of 2023, 3rd-year, competitive athlete for the Fountain-Fort Carson High School (5a) tennis team. While I began playing tennis my freshman year, I demonstrated a great deal of self-motivation and "coachability." Three months before my sophomore year season, I had surgery on my spine to correct scoliosis. Through hard work and resilience, I was eligible to compete for my school at all levels available. Through the leadership I demonstrated during my junior year season, my coaches granted me the title of "unofficial official JV captain," as there was not a JV captain position previously.
I want to attend a 4-year college to study creative technology or interactive media. Academics have always been important to me; thus, I consistently strive for academic excellence every year. Aside from tennis, I march in my school's marching band on bass two. I also compete in my school's DECA chapter and serve as a DECA chapter officer. I hope you will see me as a fit candidate for your tennis team!
