Chloe Bausenwein '27 Recruiting Profile

Tennis for me has surpassed all levels of determination and passion. Ever since I first picked up a racquet at ten years old, it had quickly become my calling; a sport that would unleash my tenacity, ambition, and drive. My mission is to play and compete at the collegiate level and beyond. In my early junior years, I also excelled in gymnastics, soccer, and track which contributed to my flexibility, footwork, speed, and stability on the court.

Over the last 16 months, I have competed in 150+ matches and have learned to love the battle. I have a clear vision of where I want to see myself in the next 2,3,4+ years by setting short term and long term goals, while reviewing my trajectory periodically. I possess all the necessary traits of a team player whether it’s sportsmanship, camaraderie, and effort, and have been told countless times that I have a second to none work ethic and a great attitude both on and off the court.  

In addition to tennis, I am also an academically-high achieving student and make every effort to set myself up for success. I have maintained a 4.46 out of a 4.5 (weighted) scale GPA throughout my freshman year and will continue to push myself while taking on more challenging courses. 

Finally, I also voluntarily dedicate my time weekly to coaching a red ball clinic. It’s been a fulfilling experience to help younger players as they start their own tennis journey and has taught me valuable leadership skills. 

I am looking for a team that will not only meet my competitive spirit but will push me to become a better player in both the mental and physical aspects of the game.
