I have been playing tennis for 3 years, and started taking it seriously around 2 years ago. While I may not have the same experience as others, I have motivation and passion for the sport that has allowed me to play 3rd singles on the high school varsity team my first year, and move up to 2nd the next year.
My first year on my high school team was a great learning experience, I wasn’t undefeated, nor had an amazing record, but I kept improving at an even rate, practicing tennis outside of school and working on my skills whenever possible. Once the season was over I realized how much I loved tennis - all I wanted to do was play. I used the following summer, fall, and winter to improve myself, and took every opportunity I could to practice. I’m now starting out my second high school season with twice the confidence and skills as before, but still working on getting better.
My number one collegiate goal is just to be able to play tennis. However, I believe I have the drive to prove myself in a more competitive environment. I can also guarantee that I will stay focused on academics as I have maintained a 3.7 unweighted gpa and honors throughout my high school career.
I am hardworking, determined, passionate, and ready to compete at the college level.
