My name is Nora Frederick. I am currently a junior at Caesar Rodney High School in Camden, Delaware. My primary goal is to complete a four-year college course of study and earn a bachelor’s degree. Secondary to the pursuit of a college degree is my strong desire to compete for four years as a member of a competitive college/university women’s tennis team.
I feel as if I will be a good candidate for my team because I have played several years on the local tennis teams, beginning when I was ten years old. Additionally, I am a member of a diverse high school team that consists of African Americans, Caucasian Americans, Serbian Americans, Bosnian Americans, and Filipino Americans. We play well together, encourage each other, and our team won the State Championship in 2017. I personally won the state championship trophy in my singles position. I engage in community service projects by tutoring young children in my neighborhood.
I have maintained a grade point average consistent with the NCAA requirements for entry into college. I have completed my English, math and science requirements. I completed Algebra I, Plane Geometry, and Advanced Chemistry. I am currently enrolled in Algebra II and Physics. Additionally, I am enrolled in AP Psychology, American Literature CP, U.S. History, Spanish lll and, Engineering Design Level three.
