I, Laura Fulton, first learned about tennis in 8th grade, watching profesional matches and videos on how to play. I became enthralled by the game and started playing in 9th grade, making varsity first doubles. I am very passionate about tennis and am constantly aiming to improve my game, challenge my capabilities, and make changes on and off court to get the most out of my playing. Through this I was able to make third singles in 10th grade and first singles in 11th grade. In addition to improving my game, I also aim high in my academics. I am a diligent worker and balance school and tennis, taking AP and honors classes while still making time to go to the courts. I plan to major in Ecology or a related field, with the goal of becoming a Wildlife Biologist. I want to play in college so I can continue to play tennis for the joy of the game as well as facing opponents who will challenge what I can do. As I have never had a private coach or played with a tennis club, I hope that by playing in college I will see further advancements to my game that I have yet to discover.
