My interest for tennis started when we moved to Florida when I was in 2nd grade. I had played other sports but, I didn't have any interest in them. One day, I saw a group of kids practicing and really wanted to give tennis a try. From that day on I loved the sport and wanted to take it more seriously. Throughout the years I have developed my skills as a player, my mental toughness on the court, and my overall love for the game.
What makes me different from other recruits is that I keep on working regardless the outcome. Even if I lose in the main draw of a tournament, I take the opportunity to work harder in the back draw. Not only in tennis do I push myself but, I also do when it comes to academics. I understand how important it is to maintain a strong GPA while playing tennis, which keeps me determined in everything I do. Throughout my freshman year of high school I was able to keep a high 4.0 GPA and secure a spot on the varsity tennis team. I played line 2 singles and doubles. Having this opportunity allowed me to bond with my teammates and build a relationship with the players as well. This helped me to understand how important tennis is to me and how much I look forward to playing in college.
Thank you to all the coaches who took time to look at my profile and I look forward to talking to you soon.
