My name is Madison Fulgueira and I am currently a junior at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy, in Miami Florida. I had never felt a sense of passion until I picked up my first Mickey Mouse tennis racket at the age of 6. The intensity of the game and my persistent desire (constant drive) to practice at any free moment has motivated me to continue playing since my first match. I enjoy both the physical and mental aspect of this unique game, which has also allowed me to excel in the classroom. My parents alway instilled in me that hard work always pays off and constantly reminded me that, “The only person you are destined to become, is the person you decide to be”!
Academically, I study and work hard to maintain an above average GPA, which carries unto the court and allows me to always have that WINNING mentality. Attending a variety of tennis academies, tennis camps, tennis coaches and physical/mental trainers from a young age has molded my game and has armed me with many different weapons on and off the court. There will always be many obstacles in my life, but I know that like with tennis, I can WIN and feel confident playing any other player both on the court and in the game of life itself. Finally, I feel that I still have a lot to learn and grow in my tennis game, and I know with the correct guidance there is the perfect college coach, that will elevate my game to the next level.
