Hello, my name is Alegra d’Alessandro and I attend Seacrest Country Day School in Naples, FL. I’ve gone to Seacrest since Pre-K and doing so has given me opportunities to participate in not only extracurricular activities but become involved in charitable organizations as well. One opportunity that influenced me significantly is playing clarinet in the school band. I have participated in All-State bands for the past three years and I volunteer for the Bonita Spring Concert Band, which has recently awarded me a scholarship. Additionally, I have received superior ratings in both district and state level of Solo and Ensemble two years in a row.
My interest in tennis began at a very early age due to my parents influence but my passion grew once I reached the 6th grade. At that point, I made a goal to play on the girls’ Varsity tennis team that year, which I accomplished. Through that experience I learned that if I set a goal, even if it appears unattainable, I can accomplish it. Currently, my short term goal is to continue being in the top of my class in academics and my long term goals are to play in a competitive tennis program along with continuing to achieve academic excellence throughout college. I believe that the combination of my academics, athletics, and clarinet have taught me effective time management and discipline which will serve me well in my college career.
