As a track and field athlete and a student, I am determined and driven to do my best. I set many goals for myself. Whether it be in my sports or in my academic life, I always try to improve. I think that I am a coachable athlete, who will do whatever it takes to get better or help my teammates get better.
I first started track in 6th grade. I was thinking of doing softball. I went to watch a soccer game and ended up running and doing hurdles on the track. From that moment, I knew that track would be my favorite sport. I like that track is both a team and individual sport. You have the support and the family that a team gives you, and you also have to rely on yourself to get better. What you put into your training, you get back out of it, whether it be a higher height or better time.
In my academics, I am an honors student, and I always put 100% effort into my classes. I know that I want to go into the medical field after college. I want to major in nursing or go the pre-medical route, and I will strive to do my absolute best and put in all of my efforts when I do get to college
