Tennis came into my life as an outlet for anxiety. I had tried multiple sports before, but tennis turned out to be the one sport that I have a natural talent for. The more I play tennis, the more I realize that tennis has done more than just helping me overcome anxiety; it has also helped me build character. Tennis has taught me patience, self-control, and positiviness. As a person who has struggled with having a negative mindset, through tennis, I have learned to focus on the goal of winning, even if I have started a set poorly. Mental and physical endurance have become my best friends. In college I intend to continue my tennis career, always keeping the same positive mindset that, so far, has allowed me to improve myself not only as a tennis player, but also as an individual. My academic goal is to major in Forensic Psychology and minor in Criminology. I have been playing tennis for many years and I am open to learning new techniques and strategies to improve my game. I am also a team player who understands the importance of hard work and of working well with others to achieve success. This and passion for tennis make me a valuable candidate.
