Playing tennis at the college level has always been my dream. I started playing tennis when I was 10 years old, and I instantly fell in love with the sport. Tennis challenges me mentally and physically unlike any other sport or class. After I realized I wanted to be a competitive tennis player, I increased my practices, worked on my fitness, and worked on mental strength. I knew that hard work and persistence was the only way for me to improve.
Since then, I can undoubtedly say that I have gave my very best at every practice. I constantly ask myself, "Am I working harder than my opponent is at this very moment?”. I push myself to put in extra hours, whether it will be working on my endurance, flexibility, or mental strength. I recently just reached my new 3 mile run time at 18 minutes and 20 seconds.
I hope to play for a college where I can play on the starting lineup in singles. However, I also enjoying playing doubles. I'm looking for a college that is very committed to improving their program through work ethic even during the offseason. I want a college that focuses on academics as well as high-level tennis. I am very coachable and I'm looking for a coach that pushes me to improve.
