Being the number two player on my high school varsity tennis team as a sophomore and junior was an amazing and challenging experience. Every opponent I faced brought their own kind of challenge, as they were the second best player their team had to offer. This has made me stronger mentally and physically as a player. This past year the strategic part of my game has grown immensely. Tennis has taught me so many things and has helped me to grow as a person. I first started playing tennis in the 8th grade. Having a somewhat later start than most, has only given me that much more determination and focus to reach my goals. Although tennis is very important to me, my academics are also a huge factor in my life. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout my freshman, sophomore, and junior year. I plan to continue striving to be not only the best player that I can be, but the best student I can be as well. I have my heart set on competing at the college level. I am beyond excited to find a program that will fit both my academic and athletic needs.
