My name is Sophie Kalaskie and I have been playing tennis for 3.5 years and made Varsity during my Sophomore and Junior years. Technical placement is where I excel the most and I think I learned that through being a Blackbelt in TaeKwonDo through my forms and sparring. Power will always come later. I also run track in the 200m and sing in Concert Choir. In addition to this, I have a 2.91 GPA taking classes to keep me on track to enter college. While in the off season of tennis, I workout by lifting weights and running with other athlete friends and my sister. Additionally, I am in summer club leagues and volunteer with the little kid's camps here in Chatham & Springfield, as well as other community volunteer work such as soccer camps, walk-a-mile in her shoes and mud runs. Character is built by giving back to the kids in the community through volunteering and teaching, which is what I want to become: a Teacher.
