Sophie Muir '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing tennis since I was in the sixth grade, and that is when my passion for tennis and athletics really began. I have played more and more over the years and have enjoyed many successes due to my dedication and hard work. I continue to practice at least four times a week because of my passion and desire to improve. Not only do I love tennis, I also have a deep passion for learning and demonstrate that through my consistent 4.0 GPA despite all of the difficult classes I have taken. I enjoy tennis so much because I can combine the physical and mental skills into one, providing a challenge for my mind and body. My focus is on doubles because I love being able to share the excitement from victories with my partner and have a great enthusiasm for the game and strategy of doubles. I find it exciting to set my partner up and get more involved at the net. I hope to continue playing tennis in college because it is a huge part of my life that gives me much enjoyment, and I want to take my passion for tennis to the next level.
