I've been playing sports since I was young, so I've always been very active. But as a child i never even thought of playing tennis. Sports was,is my passion though, so when a friend at school came up to me my freshman year and asked me to try tennis with her, I said "What the heck!" and gave it a try. Freshman year tryouts was the first time I had even picked up a racket, but I instantly loved it. Never playing before, the coach put me at 3rd doubles and I was excited! Realizing it was my passion, I took lessons to get better and improve my game. Ever since my freshman year it has been my dream to play college tennis, so here I am.
Aside from sports my passion lies with my church. About 5 years ago this church opened up. Now let me remind you, it's in a warehouse. Let me say it again, a Warehouse. So of course I had to try it out. My friend had told me about a cool new church in a warehouse, so i went. I knew instantly that it was the right church for me. Aside from going to church every Sunday or youth group ever other Wednesday I wanted to stay active with my church, so a few years ago I went on my very first missions trip to Guatemala. It was such a great experience for me. We went to orphanages, painted a fire house, performed our skits at a school, and much more. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and it was amazing. So I decided to stay active with my church and help out at food pantries and volunteer any way I can.
Going to college means I can begin what I all so recently became interested in. Criminology/ Criminal Justice. I visited a family member over the summer and he told me all the stories about being in the FBI. I thought it was so interesting! So I decided to take some classes like Forensics and Criminology in my school, and I love it! So I am very excited to pursue all the different fields of Criminology. I can't wait to expand my knowledge in college and above.
