Brooke Burger '25 Recruiting Profile

        Hi my name is Brooke Burger. I am currently a Junior at Pontiac Township High School (Pontiac, IL). I play number one singles and number one doubles for my high school tennis team, and over my Junior year season,2023, I was a State Qualifier for doubles. In addition to school tennis, I am also an active member of the Evergreen Racquet Club located in Bloomington, IL, where I have received weekly training for several years. Along with tennis, I am a three year starter at third base for my schools Varsity softball team. Our highest achievement thus far is a fourth place finish in the IHSA State Softball Tournament. Furthermore, I am a member of the Morris Rowdy Katz 16u softball team, where our biggest highlight so far is a National Championship in Gulf Shores, AL.

        I believe what differentiates me from other recruits is that I take as much pride in my academic achievements as I do in my athletic achievements. I currently have a 4.0 GPA, a class ranking of number one, and I am member of the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS).

        What makes me a good candidate for your team, in my opinion, is that I can help improve my teammates abilities while still improving on my own skills. I accomplish this through teamwork, positive motivation, and by recognizing what is required of me to make the team successful, even at the expense of individual stats.
