In college, I want to gain an Exercise Science Degree and go on to pursue Physical Therapy. I also love the sport of tennis, which I have played since age 8, and have always dreamed of playing at the collegiate level. I have been influenced by my coaches, older junior players, and sports medicine professionals in my life that have made me appreciate the human body, a healthy lifestyle, and the joy of playing a competitive sport. These people have demonstrated true determination and passion for what they do, and they have, in turn, encouraged me to carry out these traits in my academic aspirations and extra-curricular activities. Academically, my strong work ethic enables me to enhance my knowledge and perform well in all of my classes. As a result, I am extremely organized and responsible and respectful towards my teachers and peers. On the tennis court, my perseverance and determination to grow and improve all aspects of my tennis game keeps me focused on my short and long term goals. In addition to academics and tennis, I have a strong love of music that began at a young age. After many years of violin, piano, and now viola, I have found that music helps me recoup and brings me joy during my rigorous academic and tennis schedules. I have especially enjoyed serving and sharing my musical gifts in the praise team orchestra at my church; I have grown closer to God and stronger in my faith, striving to be an example to all who surround me. Despite my internal drive in my personal endeavors, I strive to constantly express kindness, encourage, and uplift my peers within my orchestras, on my tennis teams, and in my school environment. My wide range of interests make me appreciate and excel in all that I am passionate about and keep me emotionally, physically, and spiritually balanced.
