I've been playing tennis since I was 6 years old and started to train as part of an Academy tennis program when I was 12 years old. Today, tennis is my priority - I grew up playing travel soccer and travel hockey throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Now that I only play tennis, I train 5 to 6 times a week as part of a high-level tennis Academy in Maine and also through private lessons and match play.
I love to play tennis and hope to play tennis in college. When I'm not playing tennis for myself, I teach tennis 2 times a week to U10 players and also teach as part of a local summer tennis camp. I really enjoy teaching tennis and it's a lot fun to work with young kids. This summer I will be working on getting my PTR tennis certification.
I think my high school teammates would describe me as a supportive teammate and also helpful. I'm a team captain and last year started to run the team warm up before practice and match days.
I hope to be part of a college tennis team where teammates are supportive of one another both personally and competitively and I can continue to grow as a tennis player.
I want to add that I am also a two-time All-State tennis player in Maine, and earned this honor my sophomore and junior years. I'm also a two-time First Team SMAA All-Conference, again for my sophomore and junior years. And I was just named Scarborough High School Spring Athlete of the Year.
