I’m the “try it” kid of my family. Want to play an instrument? Sure! Try a new food? Absolutely. Pick up another sport? Yep! So when tennis came up, I had to try it. Little did I know that “trying” the sport would turn into “loving” the sport. There are countless reasons why I love tennis. I love it because it’s fun, helps me release stress, and challenges both my physical strength and mental toughness. I could go on and on about why I love tennis. It is very individual and isolated, but being part of my high school team changed that for me; I gained a support system, a second family. Equally as important to me are my academics. Just like being challenged on the court, I love being challenged in the classroom. I love math and art and am very interested in architecture and design. Off the court and outside of the classroom, I like spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach, and riding rollercoasters! I love the game of tennis. No matter if I’m playing or sitting on the bench, I’ll always be encouraging myself and others to keep working hard and to keep trying new things.
