My name is Alisha White and I've been playing tennis for 10 years now. I am currently a junior at John F. Kennedy High School and played #1 singles for the girls varsity tennis team. I have been on honor roll for the past 5 years and keep a constant GPA of 3.5 or above. I am hoping to play tennis in college and major in business and/or visual arts. Many people hope to become professional when they are young, I on the other hand, hope to go far with my tennis and continue with school, allowing myself multiple opportunities to succeed. People dedicate their lives to tennis, I love tennis and dedicate most of my time to train and compete, but I am also dedicated to school and keeping up my grades. Tennis has pushed me in every way possible. It has helped me stay disciplined in school and in what is important in life. Its kept me out of trouble and, I truly do not know what I would do without tennis. Tennis has changed my life in various ways. It enabled me to find people who have the same dream as me, allowing me to stay focused on what is important.
