Personal Statement
Hello! I am Avery Slanec '24, I have loved tennis since I was 5 years old. I started playing for fun when my parents let me try the sport out but I ended up loving it and wanting to play competitively. I also play basketball and I have been a captain of both Varsity teams I play on since sophomore year. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, either boating or fishing, and hanging out with my friends. I play the violin and the piano for many years and compete in the Michigan Music Festival every year for both. Balancing musical instruments, family, friends and sports has been a challenge but there is nothing I would rather do!
