I am currently in high school and have many goals. One of those goals is to maintain my 4.0 GPA. When I am not playing tennis, I am practicing for band. During football season I am in marching band. We practice non stop. When football season is done I transition to concert band which takes just as much time as marching band. Between festival, Christmas concert, spring concert a lot of my time during the off season of tennis. On top of classes, band, and tennis I am currently taking honors English, AP History. Once I am done with high school, I want to attend a college were I can study pre-law or biology and of course play tennis. When I am not busy with band, tennis, or studying for school I like to enjoy the outdoors and I babysit.
I have tried many sports through middle school, volleyball, basketball, track and tennis. Out of all of these sports nothing stood out more to me than my desire to play tennis. I love playing tennis because its more of a individual sport than the other sports I have played previously. Basically, the best way I can simply describe tennis is that it's fun. When I am playing and get into my zone, I can forget about everything else that is busy going on in life and I can enjoy it. A previous coach I had once told me that team spirit is half of the game, and I stick by that throughout anything I do. My school spirit at Marshall High is off the charts, whether I'm getting up early to watch my sister cheer for her football team, dressing up in our school colors for game days, or staying up late to support our varsity football team, I always show up for my school. Enthusiasm is a trait I possess that really shines through in sports, but specifically tennis. My love of the game shows every time I step on the court to play.
