My name is Eva Lynn Wilson and I am a junior at Williamston High School in Williamston, Michigan. I started playing tennis at the age of three years old. I went to my first lesson because my mom played as a child, I fell in love with the sport from the second I stepped on the court. I enjoyed the fact that you are part of a team, but also dependent on myself to help my team advance. As I have played tennis over the years I have learned that hard work and dedication have helped me with my focus. I am able to use those skills on the court and in the classroom.
As part of my dedication to school I have set a goal to end my senior year with a GPA of 3.7 or higher. I also plan to take a few advanced placement classes. As I transition from high school to college I plan to maintain a GPA of 3.7 or higher and graduate with a nursing degree. I envision my college years to be a personal growth period. My goal is to explore a nursing degree. On the court, I plan to be a dynamic player and positive influence on the team. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches and the school I attend.
As student athlete I am younger than most of my fellow students and athletes therefore I have used my drive, focus, dedication and leadership skills to separate myself. I am looking forward to using all of these skills, as I become the team captain for my high school tennis team in spring 2020.
