I am a two-sport athlete from Minnesota looking to use my athletic talent and academic achievements to attend a fantastic university where I hope to major in finance/economics so I can earn my MBA and someday become a CFO. These are lofty goals for sure, but what you don't know about me is that I am a highly competitive and driven person, and these goals provide me with lots of motivation in both sport, and life.
Over the past couple of years I have begun transitioning from a high-level soccer player (playing on top level travel teams in Minnesota for the past 7 years...and even being asked to play soccer in Scotland) to a high level tennis player and loving every minute of it. This past fall, my varsity tennis team repeated as State Champions, and I contributed with a 19-1 record playing singles. Being part of back-to-back State Championship teams has been an amazing experience.
I have been named Team Captain for my senior year! I am very excited to take on this responsibility and hope to deliver a third consecutive state title for Minnetonka High School!
I do continue to play soccer at a high level (Team Captain and a Minnesota President's Cup All-Tournament Team selection) and I think this has helped my tennis game by giving me an athletic and competitive edge over my opponents.
My goal is to someday bring my competitive spirit with me to college.
