I’ve played tennis for a short amount of time, it’s been 2 seasons. Sophomore year I asked my friend if she would want to try tennis with me. Her and I both made the varsity team and played doubles together. We both picked up the sport pretty quickly. We caught the eyes of many people including coaches because of how aggressively we played and how quickly we improved. Each season I received an award. First season “most improved” second season “fiercest competitor”. My junior year which was my second season, my doubles partner and I almost made it to state. I feel if the coach would have utilized practices and worked on all aspects of the game of tennis we would’ve had a larger chance to make it state. I was robbed my senior year of tennis due to COVID-19. This year was my year. I was determined to make it to state and I was ready for it. I’m very hard working, determined, very coach able, and a team player. I try for every single ball even if that means I have to dive for it. Sports are my life. I’ve always dreamt about playing a sport in college. I’ve never seen myself to play tennis. In grade school I played volleyball, basketball, and track. In high school I played volleyball and basketball and I was very passionate about those sports as well as tennis. I’m a very aggressive player no matter what sport I play. I try to be the best at everything I do. I’m always trying to improve my skills.
