With six year of competitive tennis experience and 3 years of varsity tennis experience (as of junior year), I have the skills and most importantly, the motivation to play college tennis. My current coach and all former coaches, know me for having an outstanding work ethic and athletic ability due to the array of sports that I played before discovering tennis. Even if my skills or rankings don’t match up with others on the team, I will put in the work necessary to catch up and motivate others while doing so. Often times I put more work in off the court to improve my overall fitness and athleticism, than on the court. I throughly enjoy fitness and all sports. Additionally, I was elected varsity captain at the end of my sophomore year, which never happens on our team, but everyone knew that I would make a great leader. I am exquisite at organizing events, motivating others, and promoting a positive atmosphere for everyone. With the opportunity available, I can be a motivational team player as well as a potential team leader.
Being a year round student athlete, practicing 15+ hours a week, it can be tough to manage academics at a top school. I pride myself on being able to balance my time sufficiently, so I can challenge myself on multiple fronts with rigorous academics, athletics, and my aspiring art career.
