Alana Edmonds '20 Recruiting Profile

Normally when people ask me what my collegiate goals are, tennis isn't the first thing that comes to my mind. Of course, I want to play tennis in college and hopefully for the rest of my life whether it's recreationally or competitively. But, the first thing that comes to my mind when you say goals is getting my business degree so I can run my own business one day, preferably a restaurant. That has been a dream of mine since I was about 10 years old. What would make me a good candidate for your team is that I'm determined, competitive, hardworking, but more than that, I don't like to let my grades slip. Good grades are what's most important to me because it controls my future and also controls whether I get to play on your team or not. I honestly don't think there's anything different from me compared to the other recruits. Normally, you would want me to build myself up to look better than the other recruits but in reality, I'm not better. We are all equal as people. Maybe not as players but as people we are so there isn't much of a difference between myself and others. The only thing that may be different is that I can promise that I won't let you down as a player or as a student.
