I started playing tennis seriously when I turned 5. I always wanted to play in college or to be a professional tennis player. I attended many tennis camps and took private lessons all these years to improve my tennis technique, style of playing, and body conditioning. I've been running in Southold 5K runs every year for 5 years since I was 8 years old taking 1st or 2nd place. I passed the physical test in 7th Grade to play Varsity Girls Tennis in my school but my lack of menstruation held me back. I joined Cross Country and Basketball in the meantime and Track. I'm a Varsity Tennis Number 1 player for 5 years in a row from 8th Grade. In my family, my dad whose passion is tennis coached and mentored me till his sickness which unenabled him to travel with me to the tournaments. I had to step back with my tennis. I played in a few USTA Eastern tournaments only to see where I was standing and my highest ranking was 147 in November 2018. I focused mostly on my school grades and varsity school tennis. Unfortunately, Covid-19 unenabled me to practice tennis with so many lockdowns in NY State. I could do conditioning in my house only. I was so excited to come back to play tennis in school. I accomplished 2021 year with 3rd place in Girls Varsity County Individual Championships.
I study hard in a classroom and maintain a high GPA. I'm a member of many schools clubs and organizations. I love volunteering and working (i have 2 part-time jobs).
Besides some adversity, I"m not giving up my dreams to play tennis in college. I'd love to be an educator and coach tennis in school and volunteer in teaching tennis to less fortunate children. I'm coachable, athletic, competitive, love exercising a good scholar, friend, and volunteer. I want to attend college where I can push myself academically and in tennis to achieve higher level
