My name is Kelsi Currington. I began playing tennis when I was about 7 years old, traveling to Indianapolis on multiple occasions with my Junior Team Tennis Team for the Midwest championship. I switched to volleyball for 4 years and enjoyed the team camaraderie. During my freshman year at Kenston High School, I tried out for both volleyball and tennis and made both teams. Although I enjoyed playing volleyball, I decided to return to playing competitive tennis. I played varsity tennis singles court # 1 my freshman and sophomore year. During my sophomore year I played in districts, doubles. I'm looking forward to my junior year playing varsity tennis for Kenston High School. I enjoy staying active and playing tennis as well as dedicating time to my studies. I hold above a 4.0 GPA and have an interest in Architecture and Design studies. My current classes are primarily Honors and AP classes as I begin preparing for my college studies. I am a very creative individual and enjoy the many diverse interests including creative writing, visual arts, and volunteering time to assist those in need (The Greater Cleveland Food Bank, Rise Against Hunger, LLS ;The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Student of the Year, GOYA; Greek Orthodox Youth Association, which is my primary church, BREATHE; helping kids and young adults with special needs, etc.) Working with my peers and meeting new people is an everyday goal of mine.
