Academics are a priority for me in college. That said, I have always balanced a year-round tennis commitment with exceptional academic performance. If you are seeking an outgoing player with exceptional sportsmanship and ability to interact positively with all players, I am an ideal addition to your team. My tennis coaches consistently say that I am "very coach-able"; I openly receive feedback and incorporate such feedback readily into my playing. You will find me to be a respectful team member with an unwavering commitment to tennis practice, to matches, and to the team.
My tennis journey began at the age of 8, and I have been coached for the past 8 years. I played competitively in three UTR tournaments in 2017, but decided after these tournaments to just enjoy the sport without the competition. My passion for competitive play rekindled in high school, when I was the #1 doubles player on the Varsity Team for my freshman and sophomore years (and junior year in the absence of the pandemic). I was the Doubles Consolation Champion at State in 2019. My appetite to play competitive tennis in college is fierce.
I am eager to explore multiple areas of study in college, and a liberal arts program would best support this journey. At the present, I am most interested in the sciences (chemistry/biology) and psychology.
