I started playing tennis when I was 14 years old in Montana. My freshman and sophomore year, I rose to play number one singles and doubles for my high school varsity tennis team. I also became a varsity team captain. Recently, I moved to South Carolina. Due to the increased number of tournaments and the higher level of play, I was able to raise my UTR more than 2 full points in just six months. My goal is to have a 6 UTR by the time I graduate in 2024. As a player, I enjoy singles, but I'm also really passionate about doubles. It adds an on-court camaraderie to tennis and I like to move forward and play the net. I'm looking for a college tennis program that is going to challenge me and allow me to contribute my work ethic and passion for the sport.
Outside of tennis, I love singing and reading. I'm also a strong student who enjoys being challenged academically. I'm unsure what I want to major in, but I'm interested in business, English, and law. During the rest of my time in high school, I'll be taking courses that will narrow down these interests. I'm excited about the opportunities college will present to find a new community and apply myself to new obstacles.
