After competing in one of my very first USTA tournaments, it inclined my love and passion for the game of tennis even more. It made me hungry for more practice and training. As someone who comes from a town that was not instilled with the best tennis environment, I learned at a young age and very quickly that nothing will be handed to you. Although having a tennis academy ten minutes from your house would be nice, I feel blessed to say that when it came to tennis, I was that much more committed to reaching my goals knowing my training time was fully dependent on myself. Today, as an aspiring future collegiate athlete I want to be a part of an all inclusive team with a coach that pushes us to be the best versions of ourselves and is helping us reach a bigger goal each and every day. Wherever I end up, my goal would be to make sure that not only would the team help me grow as an athlete and a human being, but that I could have the same affect on them.
