Katherine McGough '18 Recruiting Profile

     I am a junior at Coronado High School in Lubbock, Texas. This is my third year on my school’s varsity tennis team and I play USTA Junior Tennis at the Super Champ level.  Last fall my team ranked 11^th in Texas in the 6A division. I played line three singles and was first team all-district, and I played line two doubles and was second team all-district.  I also received the newcomer of the year award for our district. When I am not playing tennis I enjoy reading, art, and volunteering at my church. I am looking for a university where I can continue to grow as a student athlete and find the perfect balance between school and my love of tennis. I would like to find a university with a phenomenal academic program that would help me to pursue my dream of going into the medical field to help those in need. My ideal athletic environment is one where I will be challenged to improve on and off the court as a player and an individual. It would be where I could make a positive impact on my team and community.
