Desjha Ellis '14 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Desjha Ellis and I am a 17 year-old junior attending Mansfield High School in Texas. I'm in my senior season and although I have only played competitive tennis for 3 years,  I have trained very hard to make it to the varsity level and the top level tennis high school program in the state of Texas. This summer I enrolled for 7 weeks of camp at The John Newcombe Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels, TX, where I have attended 3 previous times in the last year and a half.  I believe you'll be able to see a huge change in my play after looking at my two videos. Right now,  I'm playing singles number #3 and challenging for #2 as well as playing #2 doubles.

I have set a goal for myself to become the number one female player on the Mansfield High School varsity team this school year.  I would also like to be a district champion in my school's conference.  

I love everything about tennis and all the aspects of competing.  Playing tennis in college is more than just a game to me. I know that I can use it as a stepping stone to do something important and wonderful with my life!
