My family has contributed to who I am today. They have helped shape me in ways that I never could have imagined, and both are a crucial part to my identity. They give me a place where I fit, and tennis has too. I wasn't even interested in tennis to begin with. My mom had told me that I needed to play a sport, and tennis was the only thing that I didn't already hate. The more I practiced, the more invested I got. Tennis became a big part of my life, it's honestly one of the best things that could have happened to me. My granny has always told me that if I'm going to do something, I need to do it to the best of my ability, and I apply that same mentality to tennis. There's an indescribable thrill I feel when I'm playing, and I want to play for as long as possible. Tennis has taught me to not count myself out, and that envisioning my goals can help me achieve them.
