I am currently in my second year of studies at the State College of Florida. We are the number three ranked NJCAA school in the nation for tennis. The first semester of my freshman year I received a 3.62 GPA and my second semester I received a 4.0 GPA. As a freshman I received the award of ITA All Academic Scholar Athlete as well as All American Academic Athlete. I also won the All Conference Singles Award as well as the All Conference Doubles Award and was undefeated in my conference with a 12-0 record for singles and undefeated conference record for doubles. In April 2015 I won the Florida State Regional Tournament for both singles and doubles and went on to compete in Nationals in Tucson, Arizona where my partner and I made it to the semi-finals for doubles and I made it to the finals for singles. Our team placed third at the national competition as a whole.
I will be transferring after my sophomore year (fall 2016) and would love to play and be a part of a team as great as SCF. I work extremely hard for everything and take nothing for granted. This includes my grades, my spot on my team and my relationships I build with my coaches and teammates. I have also been named Team Captain for this year. Tennis is a huge part of my life and I love every second I am out on the court. My teammates call me "Bunny" because they say I am one of the nicest and gentlest people they have met. However, when I'm in a match I pride myself with being physically strong, and mentally strong by not showing my emotions and by always having a never say defeat attitude.
I look forward to transferring to a competitive tennis team where I can be a part of helping the team grow and take home a division championship.
