Dear Coach,
For the past 2 years I have made it my personal goal to play college tennis at a Division 1 program. I really fell in love with the game after my Freshman year in high school, it was a such a great experience playing on team and winning the high school team championship as a Freshman and Sophomore.
I have played many sports my entire life, and as a Freshman I even made the varsity basketball team on one of the states top teams. As a sophomore, I believe I need to dedicate more time to my tennis development, and tournaments, and have decided to focus on tennis solely to prepare myself for playing in college.
I have many family members who have been collegiate athletes and I want to experience that too. My dad played college tennis at University of Illinois, Mom played basketball at U of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, my aunt played tennis at U of Michigan, another aunt that played tennis at U of Dayton and Illinois State U, another aunt that played basketball at Bowling Green State, and a cousin who swims at Georgia Tech.
Over the past year I have truly dedicated myself to working hard in the classroom, on the court, and training off the court. I am a straight A student, I practice at least 5 days a week, and playing tournaments many weekends.
I have a strong desire to continue Improving my game and playing college tennis.
Thank you for your time,
Emily Muresan
