I am a junior in high school and have a deep passion for tennis and fitness. I've played singles on the varsity team since my freshmen year. Although I had a late start in playing tennis (I started playing between 7th and 8th grade), I feel I'm a quick learner, hard worker, and dedicated which allowed me to play #1 singles and qualify for state this past season (junior year). I am an eager learner and very coachable (I definitely have a better W-L record when I play on my high school teams and being coached versus when I play in state tournaments without coaching). When I'm not on the tennis court playing, you can typically find me either working at the tennis club or working-out in the fitness center. Although I don't have the passion for running, I also made the varsity track team as a freshmen running the 800 meter race.
I plan to study nursing in college as I have a deep desire to help others. I've been working through our biomedical program at my high school and do very well in those classes. Although my GPA may not express it, my knowledge is very practical and thorough.
I am looking for a D2 or D3 school to play collegiate tennis such that I can continue the sport I love, do well for my school as well as complete my nursing degree.
I look forward to hearing from you.
