The first time I knew I wanted to run track I was in the yard with my brother. We are very competitive with each other and I finally beat him in a foot race. I never beat him at anything , so I was super excited I was only 10 years old at that time. I had to wait till I was a freshman to join my track team. It was the best experience of my life my team last year had the 100 m state champion on it so that pushed me everyday to get better . By the end of the year I earned a right to be an alternate on my track team 4x100 team that won the state championship. As I watched them I knew that is where I want to see myself on top of that podium. My track career is just starting with plenty of chapters to be written.
My mother is my hero no matter how much I want to give up in life she motivates me everyday. She encourages me to not only push myself on the track but also in the classroom. She is the reason why I maintain a balanced life. She has given me the tools to be a leader and a dedicated student athlete. The ideal college for me would continue to push my academic as well as my athletic limits. I would be a good fit for your college cause track has taught me how to be self motivated as well as team dedicated.
