2020 Highlights Personal Statement
I am Malajha Adkisson, a Track and Field athlete at La Joya Community High school. I was a former gymnast and I have always loved running . But I started running competitively at the age of 12 on my middle school track team. As a freshman on varsity I didn't know what to expect, but I ended up being one of the only two freshman's to go to sectionals. When I'm on the track I always put my best foot forward and try to achieve more and more each time. What I love about track in the challenge .What I mean by this is I'm always trying to beat previous personal records. I also take my academics very seriously, by giving my best effort into all my school work. My long term goal for my athletic and academic career is to run in college, while studying in the medical field.
